Olveston CEVC Primary School
Mrs Blake - Reception Class Teacher
I was born and raised in Bristol and completed my degree in Primary Education at University of the West of England in 2007. After this, I gained my first teaching post at a school in Northampton where I stayed for 7 years. The timing fell in place for me to move back ‘home’ this year and I was lucky enough to get a teaching post at Olveston! I was so welcomed by everyone; staff, children and parents and I enjoyed my role as Year 1 teacher. An important year where the children make a big transition from the Foundation Stage but still have lots of fun! I am now looking forward to teaching Reception Class and welcoming the children into their learning journey.
I am also KS1 coordinator and leading Computing within the school, something I feel is very important as the children are growing up as part of the digital generation!
I have a love for animals as well and have 2 dogs and a chinchilla at home! I like nothing more than taking the dogs on long and often muddy walks but also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I feel very lucky to have found my self in such a supportive work environment during this busy but exciting year of changes!
