Mrs. Plowman - Year 1 Class Teacher
​Hello! I’m Rachel Plowman and I teach Year 1 on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. This is my 5th year at Olvestonn and I have previously taught in Herefordshire and in Bristol. I especially love teaching music and PSHE. I live in Chepstow with my husband and 2 daughters, aged 8 and 5 and, when I’m not taking my daughters to their activity classes, we enjoy walks in the woods, exercising (I am one of the mad runners who has taken part in all 5 of the Severn Bridge half marathons, I ran The London Marathon in April 2016, raising over £3000 for Feed The Minds and I ran the Newport marathon last April) and playing in our garden, as well as jumping in muddy puddles when the opportunity allows! I feel very lucky to be part of Olveston School and I am looking forward to another exciting year.
Mrs. Amy Fleet - Year 1 Class Teacher
Hello! I am Amy Fleet and I teach Year 1 on a Monday and Tuesday. I have previously taught in the same school in Bristol for 12 years and feel very lucky to now be part of the wonderful school community here in Olveston. I love being involved with our wonderful Sing Stars and I run a KS1 Dance Club after school
I live just outside Chepstow in a small village with my husband and two daughters, Florence and Harriet, aged 9 and 6. I dance twice a week, ballet and tap, and enjoy taking dance exams and performing in competitions and shows. I also love being in the outdoors, walking in the nearby Wye Valley with my family and pottering in our garden.
I love teaching English and reading stories with my class. I believe there can never be too much music, singing and drama in a classroom!
